Service Changes

Service Changes

From 1st September, some services at our Practice will change. These changes will only affect patients who receive ongoing care from hospital specialists. This includes blood tests in the community and post-operative wound care.

These services will now be organised by hospital departments, rather than by local GP practices like ours. This means hospitals will arrange certain appointments that were previously managed by us.

We understand that, due to our rural location, these changes may be difficult for some patients. If you receive a letter asking you to attend a hospital appointment for blood testing, wound care, or an ECG (ONLY), and this is challenging for you, please contact the Practice to discuss an alternative solution.

Why are these changes happening?

They will help us:

  • Provide more patient appointments.
  • Keep the practice safe and accessible for everyone.
  • Focus on core primary care services.
  • Ensure patients receive specialist care from the right providers.

We are committed to delivering excellent care every day, and these changes will allow us to work effectively without stretching our resources too thin.

We will share further updates via social media and other communication channels as information becomes available.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to provide high-quality care for our patients and community.
